Long fly ball to CF, center fielder runs after it then stands there beside the ball while the left fielder comes way from LF to make the play.
Frustrating to watch. Bring us "The Show" animations please. |

I don't think I've ever seen a diving play on the infield along the lines. Second and short, yes, but never corner guys.

Saw a very smooth double play relay. Awesome.

I think the animations are great for what they are. It's just a more interesting way to follow the game/sim.

Same. It's much better than the old days of reading text. It seems to be improving each year too. As long as they keep fine tuning it over the years, I'm extremely happy.

I saw a run-down; I wasn't sure what would happen, and then the guy was safe. Pretty cool.

I have yet to see fireworks even though it is enabled. I had a guy hit a game winning homerun in the playoffs and no fireworks.

Ditto. Fireworks and the fireworks sound are rumors to me.

Oh, I did. I posted it in another thread. Classic Brooks Robinson play. Not only the dive but the stop, pop up and fire him out at first. It was marvelous.

I think some plays are so rare, that a lot of people have not seen them. Last year I saw a pop fly drop in shallow center with 3 fielders there. It was like they lost it in the sun. It dropped, the center fielder picks it up, throws to 2nd and the batter slides in with a double. This was the only time I ever saw this play. I can't tell you if it's still there or not. Maybe it was removed. But it was the only time I saw that.

Enjoy the smoother and swifter double plays and the urgency with which the outfielder will fire the ball in with a man on 3rd. Nice improvements!

I just saw a deeply hit ball to deep center with the center fielder hauling butt to try and catch it....he proceeds to jump up and MISSES the ball and then goes to recover and throws it back in like his hair was on fire. Amazing.

Although I have to say there is one big animation completely missing i'm afraid. grounders hit to 2nd or shortstop where they step on the bag for the unassisted out is missing. they just stand still and the runner goes to 2nd and then the pbp announces he was out.
