I was following a Strat-o-Matic thread where somebody took the best players at each letter and simulated a season. The As would have Hank Aaron, the Alous, etc., the Ms have Mays, Musial, Maris, Mantle, etc. I wanted to recreate this in OOTP with a couple of modifications. I needed these players because some teams' rosters were missing positions, or there weren't enough pitchers (the Es and the Ks only had 7, and I wanted 10 or 11) There were no catchers on the G or the Js, for example, so I needed to add them. My knowledge of non-superstars before about 1990 isn't good, so I posted here.
Thanks! |

About 15 years ago I played the DM fantasy game when it was run from the STATS website. We had a league like this once and I got W. With Ted Williams and Honus Wagner leading the way, it was the best team I have ever had in any game, in any format. The only pitcher I remember was Doc White. Thanks for reminding me of that team!

At catcher you could use Jerry grote he had an all star season in 1968 batted about 280 great defender good at throwing runners out.
