True, but there's nothing else to work with other than the random one found by googling. I am able to appropriately scale by setting up my own rules as to how big they will be. You can more or less center the logo as well. Looks totally legit in game.

Not when you look on the box score reports it doesn't....if you use anything but 150x150 they will be oversized.

Well, it is what it is. I have never really noticed any problems with how they look on box score. Personally, I only care about how the logos look in the standings and the team pages.

If you need to resize the image you can do so very easily with Preview. Just open Preview, then go to 'Tools', and then select 'Adjust Size.' If you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask.

I've been using GIMP (free) and Autodesk Graphic ($30) to make logos and uniforms. Nowadays all I use GIMP for is to get a transparent background. Graphic is where I finish everything up. If you decide to buy it let me know because I have hat and jersey template that you could use. It also opens PSD files correctly, so you could open the logo templates as well.

this helps me immensely. I can now make crap quality logos look presentable.

EDIT: I do have a question however...when re-sizing using preview, what numbers should I be entering into the fields? I have put 1.5 in for size (150x150?) but I am getting smaller the usual images. These are Ok for the small logos, but I am thinking they will likely be an issue for primary ones??

It's a bit "trial and error" to get the sizing correct. Basically I use preview to knock it down as close to 150x150 as possible (usually within just a couple..say 152x152 for example) and check along the way with GIMP. I then just put the final 150x150 in by using GIMP. This is a lot of opening and closing of files and such...so if there is an easier way to know when I have achieved 150x150 using preview, that would be great.

Anyway, this is likely the best work on a logo...but once again, the "script" proves to be an issue...instead of being grainy, now, it is blurry...unless the blur effect is a result of the grey border I inserted manually.

This one came out well, so it may just be the grey outline:

Another winner I think. Doing it this way really does cover come many of the pixel flaws of scaling logos downward. I think I might have to start making a set on my own.

Here is my first attempt at a minor league logo using much more inferior image quality.
