To answer you question, yes you can increase your max numbers with a good workout. There is a workout on the board somewhere that realyl helps with that. Its called the ultimate hitters workout or something like that.
About the RPG things, I remember hearing something about being a team leader or whatever its called (i don't remember) teams are more likely to sign you when your skills are leaving you. I don't think i can help with anything else.
