Compensation bug (NHL)
I made an offer sheet for a player and the compensation was a 2022 2nd round pick (I'm in 2021-21 season) BUT that choice was gone in a previous trade.
So the other club didn't match the offer sheet and they asked me to give the compensation which I didn't have. I clicked to accept the compensation and the trade was done anyway. I don't know what will happen in the next draft, maybe two team will have the same pick?! |

If you check your Team Data page for the team you originally traded the 2nd rounder to, and the one you signed the RFA from, which one has the pick? I suspect it just didn't move the pick, but I want to make sure it's not actually transferring a pick that belongs to another team now.

The one I signed the RFA got the pick.
I also checked to make sure, every team data for my 2nd round pick and only the team that got the compensation has it. |

OK, sounds like it's not stopping the transaction when it should, but it does handle the actual draft pick movement properly (albeit stealing the pick from the team that rightfully owns it.)
