Force Retirement

As one who plays as comissioner, There are times I think this is useful for myself.... OOTP features it, so it must have a wider draw ... therefore a good idea??

What exactly is the benefit of a forced retirement?

perhaps to clean out some free agents? Or to help a team get rid of some cap space from older players ... or just because it gives one control over the world and they can make things happen for X number of reasons...

because FHM2 is a game

I think it may be do-able, although it might need to be restricted to a certain point in the year, likely July 1, since force-retiring players from AI teams could have unintended effects on their roster management.
