Is it possible to search for the career stats of players by country? I figured out how to do it with active players, but is there anyway to also do it with retired players included?

When you're on the stats page, click on the "Sortable Stats" tab.

Once there, click on "Filter", "Customize", check the little box, click on the window arrow, then about the 7th selection down select "Nationality". Another selection drop down appears and here you can choose the Nation(s) of your choice.

For your second question, go to league history, click on "players tab", then sub tab "retired and active players".

Select the stats you want to view Batting/Pitching, etc etc and apply same filter.
