Workers League

Pre-Dynasty Notes:

I'd like to thank all of you that help create immersion for the game. Without you guys, wouldn't be possible to live in my own little OOTP world.

This dynasty will hopefully grow over time, atleast that's the plan. Back home, there were tons of a "workers" leagues through the years but they aren't really around much today. I am to grow this into the North American Workers League but we will start off with 6 teams and grow from there.

I also love college baseball, so we will start off with 12 teams that will begin the season as the colleges. That will feed into the workers league and hopefully build this into a cool little dynasty.

I hope you all enjoy!

Teams from the Southeastern conference and the Atlantic Coast Conference have struck a deal with the NAWL, the newly formed workers league to become college affiliates of the league. News broke this afternoon at the office of Jeffry Beznowski. 6 teams from the Southeastern Conference decided to leave the NCAA organization in favor of the newly formed league. Mike White, spokesperson for the colleges said, "The new league gives us more flexibility in our adventures. It will attract the top athletes and set them up for a better future. We wish the NCAA luck in their future." At the announcement of the departure, 6 teams from the ACC decided to leave as well. The movement has set a large shift for the first time in the NCAA and will create a void in those top leagues. NAWL commissioner Jeffry Beznowski commented earlier today, "This is a huge moment for our new league. We were attempting to bring in college teams and wasn't sure if it would happen this season or the next. We are excited for the 12 teams and they will be competing this season. We will play 100 games through the late spring into the summer with crowning a national champion at the end of it."

Pre-Season Predictions

Workers League Predictions

Analysis:

Almost as expected, the Nobles are head and shoulders above the rest of the league at the moment. Three top predicted batters are in their outfield. The looks of it show that the 2-4 battle will be closely contested even though it looks like it may be a 10 game difference at the end of it.

College League Predictions:

Analysis: Battles across the front, as it is much more even that the workers league. It looks to be a 4 way battle in the ACC as NC State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, and UNC all have a shot at the winning the conference. Same applies to the SEC as Alabama, Georgia, and Auburn are all going to be battling for a title shot.

Standings:

Leaders:

Analysis:

Almost as expected, Queens starting off the season very hot and looks to be the complete package. The 2-5 battle looks to be a good one in the beginning of the season. 25 Year old RHP Will Signorelli looks to be the class of the league so far, just torching opponents. On pace for a 17 win season.

Analysis:

It's still very early into the season but Tennessee has started out on the right foot. NC State looks good to begin the year but only 15 games into it, it's still tough to say where they will be at. Things don't look great in Georgia Tech's locker room as the aspect of losing as unsettled the locker room. Could be a destroying factor going into the meat of the season.

Headlines:

- 5 Star Sacco(CF) out for 2 months for Auburn

- Fed up with losing, Wilhelm Snaps(Georgia Tech)

- NC State #1 in Nation, Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson, Virginia round out Top 5

Workers League:

Standings:

Leaders:

Analysis:

Staten Island has closed the lead on Queens, and looks to be hot on their tail. A sloppy month for the Nobles as they lose a series to the Bronx, and split a 4 game series with Brooklyn. Staten Island loses their #2 pitcher with an elbow injury that will sideline him for the rest of the year. Interesting how the game reacts to the different styles of games and series, a team with two stud pitchers can dominate but the worry is will it be enough pitching for the postseason.

Headlines:

College League:

Standings:

Leaders:

Analysis:

Three schools have found solid footing in the season. NC State and UNC are pulling ahead while South Carolina has found ground in the South. Georgia has their ace return from injury and could be the pitching they need to assist their bats. Russ Wood(UGA) is just on fire and is killing it so far this season. The 19 year old is on pace for 61 home runs and is willing the Bulldogs to victories.

Headlines:
- South Carolina's Dave Evans No Hits Alabama

- Matt Russell(South Carolina) strikes out 17 for his eighth win on the year

- Georgia and NC State involved in brawl that has two players suspended for 6 games each.

- Matt Russell(South Carolina) No hits Auburn

Top 5

1. NC State 29-15

2. South Carolina 27-17

3. North Carolina 26-18

4. Clemson 23-21

5. Georgia 23-21

Workers League:

Standings:

Analysis:

Staten Island and Queens have pulled away in the race for the top. The question is how long with the Anchors hold pace with Queens. They will play 3 games with each other in July, and could be the decisive factor in the race.

College League:

Standings:

Leaders:

Analysis:

The top 6 look to be solidified heading into the last month of the regular season. Surprises have to come out of Alabama with both the Tigers and the Crimson Tide completely having a terrible year. The Volunteers were not supposed to be this good, but they put themselves in a great position. In the ACC, the top 2 teams in the Nation battle it out for the top of the league. Clemson is a very complete team and NC State is a powerhouse this season. A big series to open up July with Clemson heading to Raleigh for a 4 game series with the Wolfpack, the last time that they will play this season.

Headlines:
- Florida Kenny Eldridge belts 3 Home Runs vs Alabama

- Clemson's Freshman Rose fans 15 in Top 3 game vs South Carolina

Top 5:

1. NC State 43-29

2. Clemson 42-30

3. South Carolina 44-28

4. Georgia 39-33

5. North Carolina 39-33

Workers League

Standings:

Same story as the previous months, Queens continue to push the lead with Staten Island right on their tail. The rest of the league continues to fall behind and hopefully battle it out for the 3rd and 4th spots in the playoffs.

College League

Standings:

Leaders:

Analysis:

NC State finishes second in the ACC as Clemson took 3 of 4 in a series and they split a series with UNC. Clemson takes the #1 seed in the tournament with NC State following seat at 2nd. South Carolina ends the season on a slide, losing 7 of their last ten. Almost enough to open it up for Georgia or Tennessee to steal the conference.

Headlines:

- Georgia's Russ Wood wins Triple Crown. Batting .420, 49 Home runs, and 108 RBI's

- Clemson's Godbelt bats for the cycle against Virginia.
