Patch Schedule?
Appreciate the quick turnaround on the first patch Gents.
Do you have a schedule for how regularly you'll release patches at this time? |

Once the dust settles down we will start adding in new stuff. Since we don't need to re-write any systems in the game this year we can fully concentrate on further improving the game.

Thanks for that Sebastian. I'm not sure how beneficial a schedule actually is but I thought I'd ask.
Good luck with what I'm sure will be a manic process over the next few months! |

Most of the patch will be fully effective on saves, but if there is anything relating to data changes, these will not. So, updated rosters released around NHL opening day would need a new save, probably everything else would work on existing saves.

No, but it is something I try to figure out a way to do. But with all the leagues and all the different opening nights I struggle to find a solution. So if anyone has an idea...

In general, saves will always be compatible with our patches. Only exception: database changes, they need a new game to be effective.

Couldn't we: Start a MP game and have all teams set to user/manual Sim ahead to Oct 1-7 or whatever. Only issue, will things that run in the background have any sort of effect, such as chemistry, etc.?

Shouldn't the league just sort of sit still until you get up to that date?

I'll be honest I'm not familiar with that portion of the game just yet Mike, I would imagine a developer will read this thread shortly or someone with experience in that area with a better explanation that can answer your question.

If all teams of your league are human teams it's possible to sim to the pre-season and the teams will not make any transactions but during the pre-season the teams need working rosters. During the sim stuff like player development or aging will start, but the effect will not be too big in the short period of time. |
