I don't know if you saw this one yet; pardon me if so. It's just a minor flub about 5-5 raising his BA to 1.000, which would be correct if you were talking about that day but I doubt this was the intention.

I think, this has been fixed. I think I took out the batting average token to solve it.

Thanks for posting.

I did a search and found that the batting average token was used three other times in this category.

I fixed them, too.

Sorry for not being around the last three days or so.

Hurricane Gustav caused some severe problems in my area. Baton Rouge got the worst storm it has ever had in recent times...last 30 years.

No problem for me. My house suffered no damage, but we were told it might take up to 8 weeks to get power to our house. We were very, very lucky. We got power back in just a few days.

We just were mildly uncomfortable for 2 and a half days. No power, no tv, no air conditioning. It was just hot and humid with no cold drinks or water.

However, they had to rush me to the emergency room - no OOTPB.

Turns out I was suffering from severe anxiety caused by acute computer game addiction. Many times this is fatal, but they saved me by breaking out an old APBA board game and got me under control. Part of therapy was looking at a blank monitor and sitting in front of a keyboard, pretending to play OOTPB. The doctor said it would fool my brain, since it cannot tell the difference between something that you imagine and something that is really happening. It's called Psycho Cybernetics or something like that.

I am OK...at least for now. But relapses are quite likely.

Pray for me.

Thank you for the nice words.
Since you patted me on the back, I will pat you on the back.

You really help a lot of people on this forum with excellent and accurate answers on how to solve problems and how to play the game.
You are a special person and a heck of a nice guy, too.
You are always gracious and kind to us idiots, whenever we need help.

Not sure if this one's been posted before.

Hopefully this one isn't a duplicate - this time I looked through the thread!

This was with 1 out, Hayes on first, batter grounds into a 3-6 double play (1st baseman steps on bag and throws to 2nd and the shortstop tags).

Hayes was the third out of the inning, but the PBP says he was the second.

Not only that, but from the Game Log, "Batting: RHB C. Williams 0-0: Grounds into double play, U3-3 (Groundball, 3L)"

Unassisted 3 to 3?

No problem, I don't expect anyone to read the whole thread to see if the error has been taken care of already.

Thanks for taking the time to post the errors.

I looked in the Text Database and did not see a category for U3-6 DP. This may be Hard-Coded and Markus is the only one who has access to that for the correction.

I will log it in Bugzilla.

I will also contact tysok, who would know where to find it. He is our PBP expert.

Afino, this is hard-coded as per tysok. He said there is no category in the Text Database for a U3-6 double play.

Markus will have to fix it.

Fang?????

I just finished a game that had a few typos/problems (which has been very rare, overall). At one point early in the game I had made a player substitution. Later on when the player came up to bat, the game substituted his name for "Fang". I wanted to take a pic of the Pbp however, I haven't figured out how to take a screen shot without having to touch the key board; since touching the key board advances the PbP to the next screen! What's the secret to being able to do it? At the end of the game I looked at the game log and Fang was not shown at all!!!

Also for the 1st time I saw the word "played" spelled wrong; it was something like "pldyed"

Thanks

99% sure that "Fang" is the player's nickname. Check the guy's player page to make sure. I was confused by it myself when I started playing OOTP.

Thanks for posting the error.

Next time, write down two lines preceding the error and two lines after it. That will give me some idea of the context and it will be easier to locate the error.

I searched fo "pldyed" in the PBP Text and it did not show up. Either that is not the spelling or tysok or pstrickert has fixed it...or it is in the Hard-Coded Text and Markus will have to fix it.

I wish I could help you on getting a screenshot while playing out a game, but I don't know how it is done.

Or someone can post the instructions here in this thread.

Maybe someone will help you.

Afino knows how to post a screenshot from the game. PM him and see if he can help you. I think Afino is correct about "Fang". It may be his nickname.
