Would it be possible to get some option between Human vs. AI-Manager Control?

I get frustrated when I begin to feel overwhelmed by all of the potential movements and promotions and demotions of my minor league systems. But that's nothing to the level of anger I reach when I hand control of the minors to the AI, and find half of my minor teams completely emptied of players.

I'd love to see some sort of... report? Spreadsheet? List? of recommendations from the AI manager. Like, a list of all of the moves that the computer AI would make if it were in control of my team.

That way, I could get some perspective on my minors, be shown some obvious stuff I'd otherwise miss or ignore, but wouldn't show up the next day to find my minor league system leveled by the AI going nuclear.

Same could go for all of the other aspects where AI can take over control: trades, lineups, etc. More control and help for we OOTPers who aren't as skilled or experienced but like to feel in control of everything but need a little help now and again.

As far as promotions and demotions goes, that does exist... to a certain extent.

But yes, it woudl be good if there were more. I destroyed a pitcher on my AAA team because I didn't notice that the team had injuries to 4 starting pitchers.

That remaining pitcher pitched for three straight days, including giving up 56 runs one game.

Turn on the ghost players option.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

I usually end up running it all myself because of the issues you mentioned- it might be nice to get a hands-off style report but only if the AI improves enough that I don't stress over these things.

For now, like Wolf says, you have to enable ghost players so that the game engine has a way to balance rosters when moves are being made throughout the year. It's not a perfect solution, but until Markus can go back and rewrite the minor league AI (not a small undertaking) it's all we have.
