How To Start Leagues From Scratch???
Hi,---I Was Out Here Several Years Back With Version 10.
I Have Forgotten How To Navigate This Game. I Now Have Version 15. Could Someone Please Explain To Me, (Step By Step,) How To Start A League With Historical Teams, From Different Seasons, For Example, The 1927 And 1961 Yankees, The 68 Tigers, 69 Orioles, 73 A's, 2012 Giants, Etc.? Also, I Would Like To Assign Historical Players For A League Full Of All-Star Teams,---How Would I Go About That? Also, I Am Not Interested In Any Financial, Front-Office, Minor-League, Etc., Options. I Just Wish To Play One Season At A Time, Using The Above Mentioned "Great Historical Teams," And The "All-Star Player" Modes. I Checked Through The Online Manual/Tutorials, But, Had No Success With Them. Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Thank You Very Much. BD#9 Last edited by BD#9; 10-30-2014 at 03:07 AM. |

Choose Fictional league. Choose the amount of teams that you will want. Ohh, this is cool. Did not notice this before. Once you get to step 2, switch to Historical team selection. From the drop down menu select the year and then the team you want from that year when you get to step 5 click Advanced Mode. Go through each screen and turn off what you dont want. turn off League evolution. Just noticed that the game will have 2 leagues. Delete the fictional baseball league that does not have the real teams from teh available actions drop down.. Start game. (If you download Gambo's logo set and Reds1 + No Pepper's/Ashante Warriors uniform sets you can have the accurate uniforms and logos when you start the game otherwise you will have to manually do this.) (hmm for some reason mine did not load but i am going thru this quickly.)

For an all time greatest roster go back to OOTP start screen and select Quickstart game and then the All Time Greatest.QS from the menu. Once you get the the team names screen, hit Randomize team names until you get accurate names. 3-4 times.
once you select your team and start game go to ML and league settings and turn off anything you dont want.

To create your own All Star teams the way i do it is create Fictional league and then make a text file of the players you want using their ID from baseball reference.com and then mass delete any existing players while in Commish mode and then import using that text file. see my attachment.

import custom player statistics?
Is there a way to import whole custom rosters (completely made up players and teams) via that csv import process? Is this process fully explained somewhere?
Thanks Alec |

i do not think it is explained anywhere. Try PMing Spritze, Lukasberger or Bigrod for more info on that. i tried back on OOTP 11 and failed. When i came over to OOTP from High Heat i had left off with the 2036 season in my Endor Baseball League. Since i could not easily edit player history i chose to start over from scratch.
