Maybe I missed it, but I couldn't find any other Bates in that era in baseball-reference.com who would fill the bill. If you would provide the citations in baseball-reference.com, it would certainly help in finding these guys.

This photo comes from the Ithaca (NY) Journal of Oct. 28, 1969. He seems to be in the football uniform of the University of Buffalo. The accompanying article talks about his three-sport career, including being a baseball pitcher, at Buffalo. Before that, he was an athlete at Ithaca High School.

The photo is from the St. Joseph (MO) news-Press/Gazette of June 6, 1968. It shows Rich Stonum as a pitcher with the William Jewell College Cardinals. He was a grad of Ritenour HS in St. Louis.

I believe Lumpkin's request for a photo of Dee Yard of the Pilots' system relates to Dennis Yard of the Pilots/Brewers organization.

The attached photo of Dennis Yard comes from the San Antonio Express of Aug. 11, 1972. Looks like he's in the San Antonio uniform.

Dennis Yard was on the Brewers' spring roster in 1973, and he was a non-roster invitee with the Brewers in 1972. I have a photo of him in a Brewers uniform, but at the moment, don't feel like taking the time to scan it. If there's a strong urge to see it, let me know.

The photo is from the Montclair (NJ) Times of June 12, 1969. It shows Petronaci in a team picture of the Montclair HS baseball team. Despite his holding a bat in the photo, he was the team's ace pitcher.

The photo shows him in the uniform of the University of Connecticut.

An article in the White Plains (NY) Journal-News of June 25, 1969 ties together the Bruce Drummond who signed with the Seattle Pilots to the Bruce Drummond who pitched for UConn, so this is the right guy. The article also says that he was a star at Clarkstown HS. That HS (now divided into Clarkstown North and South) is in the White Plains area.
