Importing from 3D Warehouse.

Anybody have success with this?

I saw the post below about importing from Sketchup, and I tried some of the stuff in there, but it didn't really work.

I take the file from 3D Warehouse, import it into sketchup, export it to an .obj file. In OOTP, it imports, only with no skin. You see a grid, but that's it.

I hope someone has an answer. It's been pretty quiet on the 3D forum.

You need to do a lot of fiddling in sketch up to get those to work. Basically. Each face needs to have both sides with a material. If only on side has a material, then it shows black in the game.

That's the oversimplified version anyway. I'm working on trying to convert as many as I can, but it's a slow process.

Good to see you back here silvam! I installed your fictional parks and they have been AWESOME! Thanks for stepping up and providing all those ballparks.

Thanks man! I am in the process of updating my fictional parks right now. Mostly just cleaning up some texture issues and fixing the park grid on each so the bases line up better. I should be re-releasing them all this week.

I will be posting version 2.0 of all of my fictional stadiums in a day or two. They will include 3D model along with new 2d pictures and diagram photo. The only thing I don't have the time to do is make sure the ball location diagrams are spot on.
