Real players in fictional league?
So, I'm wanting to design a fictional league in which all of the players are MLB players. My goal is to basically do an offline fantasy league, where friends will draft teams, make roster changes, etc., but only by telling me.
My question is this: how do I get real players in a purely fictional league? Or do I just create an MLB league and then edit it to get rid of the things we don't want (minor leagues for one; this will be a one season experiment to see what happens)? Thanks in advance for your help! |

Pretty much what you said. You can switch from minor leagues to a reserve roster of 15 guys, which you can leave empty if you want.

Thanks! Is there anything I can change in the fictional setup I can't in the MLB setup, and vice versa?

Okay, so I've found the one thing I can't change. Since I'm going to do this as an offline fantasy game, I can't guarantee I'll have 30 teams (in fact, I'm expecting 8 to 12).
What I really want is a fictional baseball league with major league rosters for the inaugural draft. That's it. I want full control over number of teams, league structure, everything else, just with the major league rosters. Is that possible? |

How about a fictional league that develops randomly but uses real players? Possible?

The way I did it, you use the MLB template, then edit the structure of the teams to suit your liking once you've created the game. If you turn on league evolution, it should accomplish what you're looking for (if I understand you correctly.)
