Grats! We still don't know about Cooper, do we?
I didn't see the message about Chi-Town until this morning and the leagues are already being reformed so I think it's a long-shot for them to make it into the league. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If you don't make hit this week you'll definitely make it next week. And from some chatter I believe a couple of current OL members are going to make additional teams so we might be seeing two or three new teams in Iron next year. Edit to note: the signatures below update before you can get into OOTP - those leagues indicated below are not where I spent last season, so they must be the new ones! New season is up.... Gold 314:
(not going to bother with the schedule yet, as that seems to not be set until the first sims hit) Waffletown, Cooper and CliffMarkle all in different divisions, with Waffletown sitting alone in the AC conference (so might be rather slim pickings for OL matchups) |

League Placement
Please let me know if I missed anybody. Chi-Town did not make it in this week. We'll see you next week!

I am tentatively happy for not being in the same division as other OL teams because I have not changed anything on my roster for the season. This setup hopefully provides me with slightly higher PP gain throughout the week so I can find an upgrade eventually. The downside is less OL games to be excited about.
And yay for being able to meet Vikings again this season. Let's hope I can build a darn wall this time. Last edited by Goliathus; 06-03-2019 at 07:01 AM. |

Motown didn't make the playoffs but they did get a few end-of-season awards. This year we hope to do better as a team.

Perfect divisional setup.
As it turns out, a number of people banded together in order to get into a "non-whale" league in perfect - and P411 is the one where we all ended up. So while there may be whales here, there will be a number of teams that aren't whales. More fun for everyone. |

Yikes! My Arkham and New Zealand teams are in the same DIVISION. I kind of hate that...
Sorry they both got knocked out so early last season. I was REALLY hoping to have an Arkham / NZ League Championship. Thanks to all of you for making this game so much more fun that it normally would be. I doubt I would still be nearly as into it if you hadn't let me join.

Not a bad start to my All 80's Team on my second license...this 80's team will be joining Our League once it gets rid of all the Live trash.

Hey, Magus, I love that Gwynn (77) card. He has been a quite effective bunny... even in perfect league. I recommend training him to be a LF though (he can train up to 78 DEF there), as his poor arm brings down his rating in RF.

That's the plan. During first Iron season, I'll either make him a serviceable left fielder, or pure DH.

Yeah that's my favourite Gwynn card. Can play LF, or DH if you're stacked on defense. The PEAK and Record Breaker cards are maybe tiny bit better hitters, but lack in defense and/or baserunning which I like. Even as a DH the Silver All-Star can be a 5th Outfielder in a pinch.
I do recommend using the historical portraits that are kicking around somewhere. It'll give Gwynn a nice mustache. He plays better with the mustache IMO. |

That Gwynn card is on my list of "upgrades" for Venusville, though I haven't pulled the trigger because I already have the 69 Gwynn there and he's doing just fine (plus I am sort of leery to put him in RF due to the aforementioned defense). I'm probably going to stick with the 69 Gwynn until it's clear he can't perform.
Even then, I'm reluctant to get stick that Gwynn card in RF. And my LF is filled. So I need a blue defense CF/RF who's a gap hitter... and I try not to duplicate cards between my teams so I can't use Ashburn, Maddox or Erstad. I can't really find anyone I like (at least at the level I'm willing to pay!). |

That Bronze Gwynn card is actually one of your better options if you insist on blue defense. I do have one more awesome outfielder option for you that I'll send in PM. Better hitter and fielder, but goes for around 6,000-8,000 PP I think.

Who is it!? Lol. I use the 69 Gwynn, who would surely be on Gronk's team, precisely because of his defense. I can't abide bad fielding.
