OOTP on a Surface 3

Has anyone been able to get OOTP 16 to run on a Surface 3 tablet? I keep getting an error when I start is that says my resolution must be at least 1024x768. But my resolution is 1920x1280. So why won't it run?

I run OOTP 16 perfectly fine with my Surface 3.

Not sure what the issue could be on your end. Does it start up at all? Can you get into the preferences screen at start-up?

Just for the heck of it, try setting your desktop resolution to 1024x768.

If OOTP starts, go to settings and set it to your 1920x1280. Exit OOTP, reset your desktop to 1920x1280. Reboot and see if OOTP starts then.

I run OOTP on my Surface Pro 3 and I think I've had that error if I try to start OOTP full screen. Try starting it windowed and then you can just maximize if you like.

I installed it on surface pro 3 and ran it without any problems. I was even able to run civ 5 on it.

Thanks for the replies. It seems no matter what I set the resolution to, I get the same message and it won't start. Surface 3 is a smaller screen than SP3 right? I wonder if that has something to do with it.

How can I change it from full screen to window mode if it won't start?

Ok I solved the problem. I had the taskbar locked. When I changed it to auto-hide, the game opened successfully.

Thanks again for the replies!
