Reviving an old league file

I'm thinking of re-booting a solo fictional league with decades of history, and the most recent file was from OOTP14. Would it be possible to import it directly into v18 or v19, or do I need to import from one version to the next? (I don't own v15 or v16, took a few years off).

Yeah you import one step at a time. And you can use the old version demos for that, if you don't have some years or lost your keys.

Yay -- I successfully updated the league file. All is good except the game is asking for a Commissioner's Password. I never had one for the original file, which was from OOTP14. This is not a solo, not an online league. How do I solve this?

So it turns out my original file did have a commish password, which of course I don't remember.

Sigh. This is not an online league. Anyway to recover the password? All I want to do is change some game settings.

Bummer... maybe try tech support? Maybe they could crack it for you.
