Attempting to fill in some active Heavies

I'll be throwing my hat in the ring to try and make a few active heavies, most ranked within the top 100 or so. All feedback and modification recommendations are appreciated.

Many questionable fights, but WBA seems to like him better than most. 14-0 (14 kos). Bunch of garbage belts.

You don't have to zip the individual TBDX3 files. They can be uploaded here easily enough and it will save you a step. Zip are convenient for batches of fighter files.

Your rating for him isn't far off from what I'd have done. I see him as a borderline 2 or 3. Because he has KO'd 100% of the stiffs he fought I'd consider giving him a HP of 8 and dropping his punches landed to compensate. This is debatable. One thing I would do, though, is to raise his 3 point punches a tad. Giving a fighter too many 3 point punches can inflate his rating artificially, but we try to keep the 3 point punches within certain guidelines.

HP 3pt Range
1 0 to 3
2 3 to 6
3 6 to 9
4 10 to 12
5 13 to 15
6 16 to 20
7 21 to 25
8 26 to 30
9 31 to 36
10 37 to 42
11 42 to 44
12 45 to 47
13 48 to 50
14 51 to 54

Most of the fighters in the data base conform to this scale. There are occasional exceptions. Mark (Ice Tea) and I discussed this at the last IBHOF induction weekend. We always have confabs about the game at Canastota.

Aside from trying to open up some discussion with these points I don;t see any problem adding him to my games as he stands.

Thank you for the advice and for the chart...answers internal questions I had with myself. Outside of the "feel" and authenticity, do the types of punches matter towards scoring, land percentages, or anything else?

They don't. The scoring depends on whether a 2 or 3 point punch lands. The type of punch is pretty munch window dressing.

They do have an impact on the text the AI produces so for purposes of "authenticity" they'll help to make the fighter look like himself.

Ok....I took your advice and made a few adjustments to keep him at a high 2.

Adrian Granat

Big kid out of Sweden, he seems to be a southpaw who's been trained to fight orthodox. If you watch any of his fights, he relies on the knockout power of his left to put guys away when he has them in trouble. Tends to carry his hands a bit low, which will get him in trouble against higher competition, but a fun fighter to watch when he sees the other guy in trouble. 14-0 with 13ko's, he's currently ranked around 27th in the world by boxrec.
