*Potential* 2006 American Association Roster Set
I'm working on an American Association roster set. So far, I've collected 100% of the 2006 batting stats. 35% of the 2005 batting stats and 10% of the 2004 battings stats. I'm going to be doing a pretty crude three year split averages and making the rosters off of that.
If have the basic information for batters (birthday, bat, throw, number, height, weight) for 3/10 teams and "correct" positions for all the teams. I'd like to get hometowns, but right now that is a lot of work for me right now. Maybe Release #2. I haven't even started on the pitchers yet. Although, I started it today at about 11:30am, so I think I've got a lot done. I don't see this being done anytime soon though (maybe mid-august?), so I'm sure you're set will be out by then. I may not even get this done, so don't get to excited . For those interested in my progress so far, here is an excel sheet. If you wanted to help me out () collecting the stats, go for it . I've been getting a lot of information from baseball cube. What I've been doing (this is where it gets crude), is take the stats and put them in the right spot. For example, http://www.thebaseballcube.com/playe...aconetti.shtml, this guy in 2004 played college baseball and played for a Twins minor league team. For the 2004 stats, I basically just add them and then do a crude estimate at OBP and SLG (I'm to lazy to figure it out for real, and it isn't that important). EDIT: Nevermind, you can't attach an excel sheet...I thought you could ;(. If you want it, PM me. Last edited by MorseMoose; 07-02-2006 at 03:30 PM. |

I should mention that nothing has been done in OOTP yet, everything has been done in Excel, so far. I don't plan on doing anything in OOTP (for this league) until I have collected all the three year splits for all batters and pitchers and all basic information.

neat - I'd love to see this when it is done. I've attempted Northern League roster sets before, but get discouraged with the time it takes to do it. Good luck to you!

The average Frontier League contract runs in the vicinity of 500 bucks a week plus room and board

My final test will be to create these Indy Leagues and a Fictious Major League and make sure that the Indy Leagues dont sign players that should still be in the Major Leagues. I still am in the process of getting the players names entered.....I have the logos all set......forgot how tedious this really is |
