Redbirds suffer another major injury

With right fielder Larry Walker already on the shelf until at least late July with a torn calf muscle, he will now by joined by second baseman Tony Womack who is not expected to return until August after suffering a broken hand in a May 2 game against Pittsburgh.
Marlon Anderson will get the bulk of the starts at second base with Hector Luna in reserve.
Left-handed reliever Randy Flores will be called from Memphis, as the bullpen will again boast seven pitchers.

Cardinals sign RHP Marco Estrada

The Cardinals have signed free-agent right-handed pitcher Marco Estrada. He was released earlier this season after posting no record and an 8.38 ERA in six games with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Estrada will start out in the bullpen, but could end up in the rotation should Matt Morris continue to struggle.
Left-handed reliever Randy Flores returns to Memphis.
