Weird league totals bug in my random debut league

I'm doing a random debut league with totals based on a random year each year first 2 seasons went basically fine (although some ridiculous high k totals in first year) but now this third year there is like one strikeout per game and very few homers despite the fact that I told it to base on 2001 totals for this third season (using 1977 stadiums so that isn't the issue.)

It is totally throwing league stats out of wack to the point that I'm not sure i should continue until I can fix this

Can you check your league totals and league total modifiers to make sure there aren't any typos there? Even a little one can throw things off pretty badly.

I do it by setting league totals by year [in this case the year is 2001]. This should adjust the league totals automatically to what it should be for that year. I have done this a few times for this year in this league but it doesn't fix the problems with HR and Ks being way too low.
