Bug with Major Service Time

I'm playing Version 19.8, Build 79 on a Mac running the latest version of High Sierra. I've noticed some players with ridiculously long major league service times, like the example below that's showing 98 years. I went into Commissioner Mode to try to fix it in the editor, but every time I enter a number for the days, it gets translated to years. Any thoughts on what might be happening?

Hi, it looks like you have your league settings set so that 1 day of Major League Service = 1 Year (in the league settings, finances page I believe, there's a setting called something like "Minimum Days of Service for 1 year").

Important to note: when changing that value, I believe it should pop up with a message box. Under the covers, we only store how many DAYS a player has. The box that pops up will ask you if you want to convert the values. If you choose to convert, then the game will adjust players' internal DAYS values so that their years/days as shown will stay the same. So when/if you do want to change that, then you might want to not have the game auto-update or all your players will still have 90+ years of service time. However, if it's only a couple players that are screwed up, then it may be simpler to just fix them individually.

Hopefully I haven't confused things too much, but basically check your league settings for service time settings

Thanks! I've got it set up to include foreign leagues. It looks like the issue was tied to players who spent time in the Australian Baseball League.

Pardon my bumping an old-ish thread, but I came across this issue the other day and can confirm that the ABL is the culprit (seems to be set at default to 1 day = 1 year). There's an option to "Reset service time for FAs signed from other leagues" but it's unchecked by default on the ABL. Not entirely sure what this does if enabled and it seems to be off for the more prominent leagues...

Does anyone know how long the ABL season is/what a reasonable or realistic service time is?

Don't mean to thread necro this, but this issue appears to be something not set up correctly prior to a game being created. Meaning that I have created a dozen games and each one has this issue with the ABL. Is there someplace I can go to fix this on my own?

Nitrous - looking at other leagues, it appears that their service time is the number of games in their season minus 1. So ABL is set in game to be 40 games, so 39 should do it.
