I hate injuries
Can't figure out how to attach image from phone, but on July 1st, 2030, my 36 year old closer (18,18,17,14) had to get surgery to remove bone chips, out 7 months.
His stats for the '30 season: 4-0, 32 saves, 0.00 era, 49 innings, 0 runs, 5 walks, 39 k's His career stats: 70-56, 499 saves, 2.10 era, 974 games, 1040 IP My guy, drafted in 2014, 8 times had a sub 2 era, had a .80 once. I really wanted to see how many scoreless innings he could go this season, and I wonder what the record is. Hopefully he could bounce back from the injury in time for next season. Speaking of injuries. The worst was my 20 year old stud, getting a career ending setback after a 15-1, and 18-3 seasons. |

Apparently the record is 59 by Orel H.. I think my closer can take it next year.

pretty sure you can edit your main post so you don't need to keep adding to it when nobody else has even responded...
But ya, injuries suck. But they happen. i once had my entire OF on the DL for over a month. |

Yeah, but they're part if baseball. I once was in first place, about ten games ahead, thanks to a great rotation. In the first two weeks after the trade deadline, I lost all 5 starters to year long injuries (Strasburg out for career). That was depressing...

That relief pitcher still one of my personal favs. He's 44 now, 23 years service time, 13x all star.
Current career numbers 9/1/2038 110-92, 767 saves, 2.24 era, 1630 ip, 1472 k's Still hasn't announced his retirement, but I know it's coming soon :'( I just hope I can get him to 800. |

I hate injuries
In my 3rd season with the New York Destroyers I had 5 position players from my lineup and 4 starters out for 4-6 months each with injuries, all came back in september to help me lose the #1 draft pick by going on a 6 game win streak lol

I started a season with the Jays and Dickey got injured on opening day for 13-14 months. Then got a 2 month long setback. When he came back he was down to half a star rating.
In last years version I had a guy who was unbelievable and I was just starting to turn around the Houston Astros when at 25 he suffered a career ending injury. He had won the past 4 Batting MVP's and was a great fielder. Needless to say that put a bit of dent in the rebuild. |
