Something strange happened to me with build 9
I downloaded the latest patch and installed it. It has caused a very negative change in how the game is played. I don't know if it's the patch, or something else but I'd appreciate any help.
Before the patch when I was simming it would take a couple of seconds (if that long) to sim a day. Now it sims a day, waits about 5 to 10 seconds, and then advances to the next day. I have rebooted my computer, turned it off and then on again and nothing helps. It's too weird. Anyhow, I can't play like this. Any help out there? Thanks, Martin

I tried a different league but it is still incredibly slow. I started a new league but it is still incredibly slow. Any ideas because I'm at a loss. Thank you.

Have you completely uninstalled the game, run defrag on your hard drive, reboot and then fresh install?

I have rebooted. I have not removed the game and then reinstalled it. I tried reinstalling over what is already there. I loaded up OOTP15 to see if it had the same problem, but it runs fine. Therefore I believe, something in build 9 is the culprit. Thanks for your suggestions. Please, anyone.

Actually this new patch seems a bit slower to me as well compared to how patch 1 was running

To me, it was a bit slower even before the patch. This game does to a lot of things at once though.

Seeing the same on a mac
In 15, our league would sim a week in a matter of seconds, now I see huge pauses on days with games, with each day taking 30+ seconds to sim. Days with no games still seem fast. This is on a mac.

I inadvertently started another thread on this topic. Wanted to chime in here as well. Running on a MacBook Pro Retina 16gb RAM on Mavericks.

I'm curious, is everyone mentioning the slowdown using a Mac? On my PC, I've actually perceived it being a bit faster since the latest patch, though that could just be my imagination. I definitely haven't had a noticeable slowdown on my end.

on an IMAC and it's totally stopped on April 10th. rebooted and turned off everything. same thing. game will not move. Before the patch it ran perfect and after the patch the problems started. must be something wrong somewhere.
Thanks |

Started a new league on my Mac tonight with patch 2. The games themselves sim incredibly fast each day, but it takes probably 5 times longer for the sim to go to the next day. You see the games fly by, but then it stops before moving to the next day. This wasn't apparent before patch 2.

I have the same issue with the latest patch on my Mac Book Pro. Takes about 30 seconds to simulate a day.

Okay... we are seeing this on our Macs now as well. Will be fixed in the next patch.
