Something off when AI signs goalie?

I'm guessing there will always be different opinions about the trade logic and I imagine that part and AI aquiring FAs must be one of the hardest parts to code.

Having said that, I sometimes feel that there is something off when the AI signs/handles/trades for goalies. The logic doesn't quite make sense to me all the time.

Most recent example that made me raise an eyebrow is when Florida decided to give Carter Hart a 5 year, 11 mil contract.

Sure, Hart is close to being the best keeper in the league in 25/26 but what stood out to me is that the allready have 27 yo Spencer Night on a 3 year, 2,2 mil contract. Knight is 4 stars with 5 potential, top 6-8 in the league and just won the Vezina.

In other words the natural move would have been for them to sign a cheeper backup to top goalie Knight and saved a lot of money.
