Season 25/26 and my winger Lucas Raymond had his breakthrough season and came in second with 110pts, 50 goals and 60 assists. Led the league in scoring and topped the +- with +42 at the end of the season.

Somehow he didn't get invited to the All-star game and wasn't even nominated for the Hart. He didn't get a spot in either all-star team at the end of the season either. No appreciation for poor Lucas but he is still young.

McDavid won his 4th consecutive Hart but that seemed fair as he carried his Oilers all season after Dreisatl opted for the big contract in the off season and wound up on the newly formed Seattle Kraken team. McDavid still ammased a whopping 79 assists, came third in the overall points and second in the +- with +39.

Speaking of the Oilers. Alex Ovechkin bounced around a couple of teams after leaving Washington in 21/22. After a mediocre (for him anyway) season i Carolina he was traded to the Devils. He looked pretty good there for a couple of years and had an astonishing season that saw him put up 55 goals at age 38. He slowed down considerably the season after that and was once again traded. This time to the Oilers.

Ovechkin broke the NHL total goals record in his single season up in Edmonton and put up 15 goals and 18 assists in 53 games and retired with a total of 904 goals at age 41. Nothing short of spectacular. At one point he stood still at 894 goals for 8-10 games and I was actually wondering if it was hardcoded into the game than Gretzkys record couldn't be broken

Ah, almost forgot. The Leafs managed to win the Cup at last. They beat Vegas in 6 and Tavares, Matthews and Marner finally got their cup.
