Two-Way Player bug
I’m a fairly new player to the pc version of OOTP so I may be missing something. I have Shohei Ohtani on my team, and he’s been a two-way player for three seasons now (2 in-game). I wanted to make him a SP only because he has been pretty bad at hitting for about a season and a half. However, every time that I uncheck his two-way player box it goes right back to being checked as soon as I do something in the game. I have his strategy mode set to “override team strategy settings” and I have full control over the major league team as a GM. I don’t want to turn two-way players off for the whole league bc that kind of ruins the realism of it. I’ve also tried force start and that didn’t work. Is there something I’m missing?

Not sure what you mean by "full control over the team as a GM". The way I think of "full control" is that you play out every game. But if you were doing that then Ohtani appearing in the lineup would be your fault. So it sounds like you are probably simming as a GM? That may be your problem. You may need to be the manager of the MLB team to dictate that option. I sim too but I do it as GM/Manager and have never run into this problem.
P.S. The "override team strategy settings" is only for those settings listed right under it. |

It's a little tricky, but I think if you use the "lock player" checkbox on strategy, then the manager should be locked out from changing the two-way setting on a player
