Additional playoff formats?

Hi all,

I have a 20 team league, 2 conferences, 2 divisions per conference, each div with 5 teams.

I wanted to have the top 3 teams from each conference make it, with 2 division winners and a wild card. Top team gets a bye. Unfortunately, it looks like only the top 3 teams in the entire league qualify. Are there more options planned in a future update? Or am I missing some?

I've hoped for a similar kind of update to playoff formats in the next game, too. Eventually we might get to the point of customizable playoffs like OOTP has, but who knows how soon they can implement that. I'd like having one that's NFL-inspired with the division winners getting a bye and top 6 in each conference go to the playoffs, when using that 20-team format with 5 teams per division. I haven't heard any word about it yet but can hope it'll happen in due time.

We were talking about customizable playoffs for 7 the other day, but it would require significant reworking of the way we handle the data for the playoff rules and structures for all types of games. That's probably going to be too tall an order considering the other stuff we're looking at doing, so right now we're leaning towards a large expansion of the number of pre-set playoff systems, which we can do without making major changes to the game.
