Exclamation Completely new to the game!

Hey guys,

First post I've made here. I appreciate any input. I played a game similar (could have even been OOTPB) about 10-15 years ago. What I loved about it was it allowed me to start at any point in baseball history. Does this game allow you to do that?

Do I have to "watch" the games being played, or is it possible to simulate it? I'm more interested in the building of my team, drafting, signing, trading etc as opposed to watching games day in and day out. I would rather be able to start in april, simulate until June. Is this possible?

Thanks again guys I really appreciate it.

Short answers to your questions (though I would be happy to elaborate, to the extent I can, if you wish) is yes and yes.

I personally prefer to play out every game for my team in my primary save but a great many people mostly sim. And in some test leagues I have used to try out certain things I have often simmed ahead up to 10 years at a time. It takes awhile (depending upon your system, I guess) but is totally an option. But you can sim day by day, week by week, year by year, or really any increment of time you want (just sim up to a selected date.)

Have fun!
