According to Leber's record in Baseball Cube (see below), he attended DeAnza College and Santa Clara University. The Mark Leber pictured below attended those two schools in 1993-94 and 1994-96 respectively, so it certainly seems to be the same guy. The photo is from a website called rocketreach.

I was unable to find a photo of Apellaniz, but there seems to be a marathon in his hometown of Catano, Puerto Rico, named after him. If you really want a photo of him, you might try writing to the City Hall in that town to see if they could provide you with one.

The Tacoma (WA) News-Tribune of 11/21/1969 reported that the pilots signed a Frank Archer, outfielder out of Oregon State University who was originally from Enderby, British Columbia, and Brian Baker, pitcher from Taunton, Massachusetts. Couldn't find photos of them.

Brian Baker has a B-r.com entry, but no info within it. He didn't play minor league ball. There's a Daniel "Danny" Baker in B-r.com with minor league experience, but he was in the Washington Senators' system, and there's no indication that he was associated with the Pilots or Brewers.

There are no B-r.com entries for Jon Archer or the 1969 Frank Archer.

Regarding Bonnie Smith, I did learn that he starred in both baseball and football at Fremont HS in Los Angeles, ending around 1968 or so. You might have luck with a yearbook from that school. Was unable to find any newspaper photos of him.
