It'll likely be down to $1 if you wait for spring training.

Never say never.
I picked up OOTP17 for $1 from Humble Bundle in late 2016. |

I'm not sure I understand why you want somebody who's poured blood, sweat, and tears into their unique invention to just give it to you for nothing. I would venture to guess that Markus has put in close to 25 years on this game, and it has apparently come a long way since he released the first version (20? years ago - wasn't around so I'm not sure [my first version was OOTPX], but I think it was 1999). If you want a free copy, at the very least take the survey and see if you can win a copy of OOTP20, but don't expect to get something for nothing. The world doesn't work that way. Just my .

I'm not sure, but didn't they recently offer OOTP19 for 5.99 at Christmastime.
Mr. Man, you might contact one of the OOTPB Forum Moderators and see if it is still available at that price. Should you not be able to afford that amount, I will purchase it for you. Find out the current price and if it $20 or so, I'll purchase it for you. |

if you haven't played before, try the demo first.
https://www.ootpdevelopments.com/out...ball-download/ all the way at bottom -- it's hidden like others said, there are game bundles that re likely that cheap due to the seller subsidizing the cost as opposed to ootp giving away somethign for free that they worked hard on... could be a rebate-type thing in background from ootp too, of course. either way... promotions can spur future sales... good investment, really. longer-term goals as opposed to 1-year increments. can't predict those.. i don't pay attention to exactly when their prices drop and how low, but it does continue to drop as time goes. very little seperates the 2 most recent versions except for online play and maybe the ui. the game engine itself is basicalyl the same as it has been for a long time - outside of any tuning, maybe. 19 would likely be as cheap as 18 is now by the time '20 comes out? i'm seriously thining about buying after playoffs from now on. less about cost and more about how i play. heck, as of yet i still haven't played more than 10 seasons on 19... the fact it was taking 10+ hours to move the league with seemingly no end in sight was part of that. it created a 12gb file and i canceled it after waking up and seeing it still running, lol. i didn't have a ton of free storage at that time... At one time or another they have all helped me out in some way... helping me with my computer illiteracy on these forums and the Beta Teams... making jerseys, caps and logos for my Islandian Pro Alliance, Southern Association, All-Time All-Star Association and State Line League... answering my endless questions about the game on these forums, etc... too many ways for me to cover them all. I just like to take their goodness and kindness and "pass it forward". Last edited by Eugene Church; 01-17-2019 at 11:15 AM. |

Eugene, you took the wind from my sails. I was going to say something acerbic to the OP but you have removed the impetus.
