You could go in to commish mode and add them to their 40-man rosters, though. But then it's still in control of the team as to what happens after.

Yeah, we don't control the 40-man roster assignments, that's up to the ai.

It does, the rosters all get run through the ai when we're creating the quickstart. It's not optimal, but in some ways it works better, because if we forced the real rosters on the ai, you'd see a huge amount of trades and signings/releases as the ai re-calibrates teams early on. Doing things this way at least means the rosters are pretty stable initially even if less than 100% accurate and it keeps things more accurate once you actually start simming as well.

Going to post some suggested changes to the Taiwanese players, in particular the CPBL, in a few days. Seems the English names of some new players are a bit off the beat, and most importantly, rookies signed in 2016 were all missing from the database.

Are you sure on the rookies? Most of the 2016 rookies should be present iirc. Do you have the latest patch?

As for the names, yeah I'd guess they're pretty far off in some cases. I'll sometimes have to look them up character by character in wiktionary or something to try to find a decent English translation and I know that doesn't get it right always.

We could really use someone who is into the CPBL and can read both Chinese and English on the roster team to work on the CPBL.

As far as I aware some 2016 rookies who only played in the minor league are missing, should not be many though.
