I'm not happy with this
Two ace pitchers sabotaged for no logical reason except the game cheats to keep you from winning. BS JUNK

That's OK, there's always RBI Baseball. You don't have to worry about strategy and counter-strategy with that game. All you gotta have are quick reflexes.
Here, let me help you get started: R.B.I. Baseball 16 Best of luck to you. |

Try starting a new game or 2 to see if the results are the same. I would bet that what you are experiencing is just an anomaly. Given enough time or enough tries, I would think your pitchers will perform closer to expectations. Don't give up just yet. Overall, this is the best baseball game you are going to find.

That Markus - he's so devious creating a game and duping people into thinking it's actually realistic. I just don't know how he gets away with it.

The world would be a better place without this. Can't live without that, but this, who needs it.

Harvey, deGrom, and Thor(can't spell his last name lol) all went down for my team this season, thankfully not all at the same time, for multiple weeks or months each. They were pitching like AVERAGE number 3 starters(12-15 W 3.50ish ERA) and the only thing I thought of was "Hmmm, wonder who I need to replace to stop the injuries and mediocre pitching from these guys?"

I usually find it too easy to win. How were they sabotaged?

You know, there is another option if reality is not your bag and you want a perfect world in which nothing random derails your players' careers: play with injuries and suspensions turned off.
Go to Game Settings --> Players & FaceGen --> Player Injury, Fatigue & Suspensions, and uncheck three things: Enable Injuries, Enable Suspensions, and Enable Drug-Suspensions. Voilà! Now nothing bad within or outside the game can pause or prematurely end the inexorable march of their careers early anymore. And if you're really serious about eliminating any possibility that anything bad will ever happen to your players, go down the same page to Player Development Settings and set both Batting Aging Speed and Pitcher Aging Speed to 0.0. This way, your players will never get hurt, never get suspended, never get old and never die, so they can play forever. Just like in heaven. Or so I'm told. |

Think like a GM/Manager and not a video game player. The game does not cheat. Things happen. Look at Rick Ankiel and how his great looking pitching career derailed in ONE inning in 2000 for no apparent reason.

I was thinking the same thing with my Indians save and Kluber...but then I've seen the run support in the early part of the season (games vs Tigers not included) and it appears to be pretty spot on.

Sounds like little Petee has the only child syndrome. Parents never let him lose growing up. He won at CandyLand, Chutes & Ladders, Monopoly. And when he sat on the bench all through 7th grade and his team went 0-13, mommy and daddy still bought "little Petee" a nice, big trophy.
