Is it just me or?
Is it just me or has the award voting changed drastically this version?

As in undeserving winners? If yes then I agree.

Give us examples and we can look into them.

Most likely have to do with popularity. I thought about lowering the importance of popularity before in my QS but ever since the option to force players from every team was introduced the selections have got a little better.

Change the influence of popularity in all-star vote to moderate or low. You'll still get a few guys who probably don't deserve to be there but that happens every year IRL anyway.
If you want it to be like OOTP15 set influence to none. |

the biggest problem is everyone of us has different vision of who should be the MVP or CY or any other award. Just like in real life we don't always agree with the winners of any award.
As for me I generally go the traditional route and not so much on the new school stats. I prefer old school line of thinking. |

i guess it happens in real life too?
like carl weathers said (action jackson ), but i am lazy, i have the pc fill it out, then i make alterations as necessary. edit: whoops - award voting... i just have fun with those. if one of my players has deserving numbers, they are getting the award. they are 1-3 in voting anyway, and it's usually just an arbitrary choice between the top 3 or more. Seems to be 2 different topics here.
One for award voting, one for all star voting. Popularity doesn't affect award voting, which I believe is what the OP is talking about, it affects all-star voting. |

The one award I have seen going to an undeserving player is Reliever of the Year.

Because it is the Most Valuable PLAYER, and you have "Pitcher can win" checked, so in an amazing season a pitcher is likely to win

56 mil per season for a 35 year old pitcher. If that ever happens in real life I will stop watching baseball

If you look at the title of the email, it says Ty Cobb Award, which is my hitter award.
