Never used game strategy

Has anyone ever notice the AI NEVER uses "guard lines" and some other strategy options which are available?

Is there a reason why? Is this a design flaw?, or a design decision?

There are some strategies available in-game that the AI never uses.

The human intelligence has that problem too. Never lets Zach Britton pitch in a tie game.

team strategy page or coach profile will show those sliders (well the editor for the sliders per coach). if you have a picky coach, they may limit what you can change (strategy sliders, lineup, bullpen etc).

i turn "bunt for hit" to zero or 1 tick up. i reduce high risk / unlikely reward strategies too - like run and hit.

i rarely turn somethign to zero, in general... i figure 1 tick up will still do it in very desperate situations (or a few ticks up for less risky stuff, etc).

the defensive stuff i generally leave close to middle of the road. i certainly wouldn't reduce any to zero unless something tangible tells you to do so.

e.g. i think some configurations remove L/R splits? maybe historical only?? anyway in that situation, you'd definitely be motivated to reduce those slider's down all the way, since i nthat league, there's not such thig as a l/r split to consider... and if there is it's temporary and due to dumb luck. it's no longer advantageuous to bring out a lesser-rated Lefty to face a left batter, because he is gainine Zero benefit due to handedness.

if you can't do that or i am using some faulty memory of a setting... no big deal it's just to express a concept. details not required

I can't say 100% that the AI uses all in-game strategies but it does shift. I'll play out a few games. You can see the AI shift in game.

it shifts all the time..it also used DP depth all the time. It also will play the infield in quite a bit. Not sure if it will play the outfield shallow or deep....but it will shift the outfield for sure. I have never witnessed it guarding the lines however...is that a strategy that was employed earlier in baseball, and not so much in modern times perhaps?

I'd say yes it does guard the line but can't remember 100%. All I can do is play out games to find out.

How many games did you play out before coming to the conclusion in post 1?
