New Card Added?
I noticed that sometime in the last 24 hours that the number of cards available in the game went from 2,490 to 2,491. It had gone from 2,384 to 2,490 with the addition of the 6 CEO collection cards on Monday.
Anyone know what's up with that? I don't think it means that someone finally pulled the elusive Ted Williams because the card count hadn't been going up when someone pulled the first Petrocelli or other rare cards. |

That number is not affected by what cards have been pulled or not pulled, just how many cards are active, even if not yet pulled.
In this specific case, the Wayne Simpson card from a few content updates ago (68 overall) had somehow not been activated. We noticed that and activated it, which is what you're seeing.

Must be a one hit wonder, he didn't pitch very long.

Yea, this one is on me. Somehow when I activated the cards Mr. Simpson got missed and someone else on the team noticed it today. It was corrected this morning

It's a Rookie Sensation, but could've been a One-Hit Wonder as well.
He has an interesting (and sad) story, that's definitely worth a read if you don't already know it. https://sabr.org/bioproj/person/cbeac4f6

A pitcher who is legally blind in one eye and who continued to pitch after a catastrophic injury that even his own manager doubted who only stopped when threatened with the actual loss of that limb?
Yeah, we need to know Wayne Simpson.
