Draft pick signing issues?
So working on my Detroit franchise and ended up with a top pick this recent season. After the draft, I wanted to sign a few draft picks to put on the main roster.
My top pick from the recent draft, is 18 years old... yet when I try to sign him, the game says he's too young and won't let me make an offer. The rules are set to allow 18 year olds to be signed. My top pick from the previous season is 19, game will allow me to negotiate with him, yet won't let me uncheck the two way option despite the players demands to not have it on there. I also have Cholowski, who I did sign last season... but sent to the WHL for more development. Now, I want to bring him back to develop with the main team, but won't give me the option to call him back up. Is there something I'm missing from this? Rule that I don't understand from signing draft picks? |

I'm just beyond the draft and before the free agency period during all of this when it comes to Cholowski.

Thanks guys for the info. Got past July 1st and I've been able to sign some of my rookies (except for one who wants more than I can offer for a minor league deal )... kind of caused a confusion of plans with my roster, but hopefully I can get my top prospects to play in Grand Rapids for a bit until some spots open for them!
