Goalie Starts

Hi All. I have a question/concern. In Path to Glory mode I have simmed a couple of different seasons using a couple of different teams but in each season, the starting goalie plays every game. I am playing in GM mode so I cannot edit my line up but it is pretty unrealistic to have a guy start all 82 games.

It's literally playing them in all 82 games? Which team/goalie did it happen with? Goalie fatigue doesn't work any differently in Path to Glory than in Sandbox games (aside from historical or custom games in the early years where goalies started every game), so the most heavily-used goalie should wind up with no more than about 70 games played.

I think this has been an issue since FHM2. In last year's model, the starting goalie for whichever team I chose regularly led the league in minutes by a landslide. In FHM3 I'm using sandbox mode and yes, barring injury our best goalie starts all 82 games and logs way more minutes than any other goalie in the league.

Mine haven't been that high.
In my second season as strictly GM. Steve Mason got the first 26 starts of the season (mind you we never had back to back games) and finished the Season with 68 Starts. The highest starts for a goalie I have noticed was Martin Jones with 73 in a season. So it doesn't seem consistent atleast so far in my seasons in two different games

FHM2 starts were a little high, so we made a bunch of adjustments in FHM3 and the league leaders don't start quite as much. I haven't noticed it happening in 3 (outside of the historical seasons it's supposed to happen in), but I'll have a look and see if I can get it to occur.

I'm pretty much 100% that it's only an issue with the goalies of player-controlled teams. Holtby hasn't missed a start since we signed him 2.5 seasons ago

Agreed. I just had Tuukka Rask start all 82 games in a season for my team when I didn't change him out at all.

I know in my fictional game, during my first season the starter of my team played 80 out of 84 games (with one appearance in relief). He also started every pre-season game. The same thing came up in the 2nd season as well, but it's really only affecting my team. Every other team seems to have a normal rotation.

I'm too early in my latest modern game to know if this still is an issue there, but with Flint my starter played all the pre-season games and so far has started all 6 regular season games, too. I'd been concerned about that problem as well before, so it's good to know it isn't just me seeing it.

Would be great to have the option to set up a goalie rotation similar to how the starting pitcher rotation in OOTP works. . .
