To the people on the forum who knew Matt I am happy to announce the arrival of Matthieu-Luc Leclair who was born at 01:33 in Winnipeg this morning. Weighing in at 8lbs 4 oz and is not expected to play or watch hockey for some time. Mum Jenna and Matthieu junior are both healthy and doing well. Some great news for a family that needed some

Oh wow.. I didnt know he was expecting a kid too.

Can we do something like get this kid free OOTP games for life? Seriously.. the guy was terrific and such a big part of this community. If it wound up having to be a community driven thing, I'd gladly contribute a copy of a game to it.

Congrats to her, and my continued condolences for their loss.

It was something that both Jenna, Matt and their families wanted kept private that a baby was on the way. The thought of being a dad again was something that Matt certainly used as an inspiration to keep fighting on when he was it his lowest but sadly things didn't work out. I just felt it was piece of good news that some folks on here might like to hear.

It is a GREAT piece of news. Its such a shame that they never got to meet.

Even if it is somehow sad he will never meet his father it is still great news. Thanks for sharing and maybe you can give us some updates from time to time.

I was given some pretty clear instructions to steer him towards FHM when the time was right :-)
