I'm playing in the WHL. At the start of the season, I send my scouts out to find unaffiliated players playing in the junior leagues. I notice two Americans who transferred from US high school to the AJHL. They are highly rated and I wanted to sign them but apparently I do not have league rights.
They are both 16 and only the the BCHL, CCHL and MJHL have league rights.
- If that's the case, how did they sign in the AJHL? Shouldn't the player card reflect that they've now signed with a team in the AJHL?
- Other than editing the players, how can a WHL team acquire their rights? They are too old for the Bantam draft.
Thanks.
