Manager Del Rice
Del Rice took over as Manager of the Angels in 1972 so these may be from that Spring.
I am looking for color photo of Bruce Christensen as the only one I have is this black & white |

A Million Thanks
Thanks a million for these GREAT photos of the 1971 Angels. I REALLY appreciate these. There are a couple where I didn't press the thanks button, but I had those. Does anybody have a little better Clyde Wright like those of Johnny Stephenson and Archie Reynolds in 1971? I might have a few more lists of players needs that I just have baseball cards of.
Thanks again for all the help! BRobby05 |

Archie Reynolds - ABOVE - Section 18004.
Archie Reynolds had one of the longest Winless Pitching Careers that I am aware of. In all or parts of 5 MLB seasons (1968-1972) and in 38 big league games, Reynolds' lifetime win-loss record is 0-8. Last edited by KenRaffensberger16; 07-21-2013 at 10:31 AM. |

Quote:
Reynolds' 36 games pitched is only good for 42nd place, however. Ed Olwine and Juan Alvarez are tied for the record, each pitching 80 career games without a win.

Garry Jesdadt
Second and third baseman Garry Jesdadt was selected by the Expos in the 1968 MLB expansion draft on October 14, 1968.
He was the twenty-second player selected by the Expos in that special draft. He played his first MLB game on September 17, 1969 (Age 22). He was traded by the Expos to the Chicago Cubs for Jim Qualls on April 22, 1970. |

Dave Duncan 1964
For BRobby05: I found a Dave Duncan that looks like it might be the 1971 A's. It was part of a 1987 Mothers Cookies Oakland Greats set.

A few other 1969 Expos
5 guys who played for the 1969 Expos that I am not sure ever were pictured on a baseball card in an Expos uniform.
Maury Wills & Manny Mota were both traded to the Dodgers June 11, 1969 in exchange for Ron Fairly & Paul Popovich. Dick Radatz purchased from the Tigers on June 15, 1969 and released by the Expos on August 26, 1969. Jim "Mudcat" Grant traded to St. Louis June 3, 1969 in exchange for Gary Waslewski. Roy Face - signed as a Free Agent April 27, 1969 following his release by Detroit. Montreal released him on August 15, 1969. |

5 Texas Rangers for the first year 1972
As with the Expos, I do not believe that these five guys were ever pictured in an actual Texas uniform on any baseball cards though they were members of the first Rangers team in 1972 after moving from Washington
Ted Williams was the manager that first year as the Rangers compiled a 54-100 record! Ouch! (Note: the 1972 season was shortened due to a lockout/strike that wiped out spring training and the early games of the season) Frank Howard was sold to Detroit on August 31, 1972 Don Mincher & Ted Kubiak - were traded to Oakland on July 20, 1972 for Vic Harris, Marty Martinez and a PTBN (Steve Lawson) Marty Martinez came to Texas from Oakland on July 20, 1972 |
