Yes. I have never done the game without scouting but if you want to see the players exact ratings then that is the only way to do it. When you first open the game and select a team all the ratings are scouted by sisa which sucks. You have to scout them with you head scout to get a more accurate rating.

Airdude, if you're concerned about ratings, be sure you're looking at the real ratings; you might have bad scouts, and in any case all scouts are inaccurate. I'd bet Airmen started with ratings produced from a database import, and OOTP has an excellent track record at producing ratings that will reproduce player statistical performance; I'm sure he hasn't systematically lowered every rating in the game, and I doubt you'd be happy with his roster set if, as you request, every rating was increased by 50. If you raise ratings for both pitchers and hitters, this very possibly won't make your star hitters perform any better, since they're playing against better pitching. What this would certainly do is make bad players closer in performance to good players by raising the ratings floor and lowering the resolution of ratings scales. You can see this by imagining the limit case of adding 250 to all player ratings; then all players would become the same. |

MLB.lg Error
I just loaded the game and downloaded the roster pack. When I go to open saved games I click on MLB and it loads half way then tells me there is either an error with a corrupt file or a previous saved game. I have tried to delete MLB and reinstall in my saved games but I keep getting the same error. Can anyone help??

Can someone elaborate on this roster set? Is it any good? What are the pros and cons compared to Cubby's set? Are the ages correct? How well are the prospects rated?
That should do for now |

The only reason my set was put on here was because there where so many ppl that said that they where going to make a roster set and then disappeared, so I decided to make an updated roster with a few other additions. If I where you I would use cubbys new roster. It is more precise and up to date. I will be using his and not updating mine. Cubby has always made a great roster IMO>
