Fictional League with Real Player Names

I am looking to start a fictional league but instead of the made up names that are assigned I want to use random real MLB player names. I want the stats to remain random, not matched to the real player stats. Is this possible?

I like to have real names so I can get to know the history of the players better.

I want the real names of the cities and team names.

The thing I want is a random assignment of real MLB player names(names only) given to my Fictional players. Is this possible?

There isn't, short of manually editing the name of every player. There is no way for the game to do a mass renaming of players.

Actually, there is. I'm at work now so don't have the game in front of me, but looked up the manual online.

I'm almost positive randomizing the player names will just assign fictional names.

why not do a draft for each team or you can do your own pick for your team

He wants the real names on random players, not real players on random teams. In other words, Mike Trout could be a LOOGY, Ronald Acuna could be a backup catcher, or Clayton Kershaw could be a power hitting right fielder.

Yes, this exactly. This will help me get familiar with the names of the current players. Also, it should also include the random names of all the players in the history of the game. For instance Doc White, Al Kaline, Steve Sax, and so on.

I'm sorry for pestering you guys again, but can you also help me with this:

I started a fictional league with random team names and random cities. Can I, during the season, change back to the real MLB team names and real MLB cities?

Sure. Go to each teams Setting page or the Teams and Cities and rename them.

Ok thanks, I thought there may be an easier way since the game gives you an option to re randomize names and cities once the season starts. Why not have a button to reset to MLB team names and cities? Thanks for the reply.
