Still worth it? Some of the mission cards recently went up in ratings.

Yeah I thought someone just went up to Diamond, meaning they were 1.5k and are now 4.5k... It wasn't Hendriks was it? Regardless, it probably is still cheaper to complete the collection than to purchase Plank directly.

Damn, I should have bid on that second one. Was just bidding on the 1st one figuring the 2 cards were going to go for about the same price. Congrats. Although maybe I can get it for under 2k if I'm patient.

From my brief glance at the A's mission since September callups it doesn't seem worth it anymore. With Hendricks at Diamond, Puk debuting at 88, and Chapman flirting with Perfect tier, the napkin math doesn't make sense. Add in the time and effort and I'd rather buy Plank on the AH.

Completed the Charlie O A's Mission in two days for about 90K PP.

"Mint" 98 Vida Blue is up for sale on the AH!

Hendriks isnt a diamond and hasn't been for two weeks. Chapman is probably going down to 98 anyways. Regardless he can be had for around 7-8k right now, anyways. The big addition is Puk though who values at around 3k. When I did a month ago, prior to Puk, it cost me about 11k if I recall. Hendriks was only 1.5k then, so you figure an extra 2.5k now for him, and 3k for Puk puts it around 15k now when Planks on the market for 22k or so. May not be worth it to some, but may be to others.

Thanks for the update, haven't been following it that closely and didn't know Hendricks was a Gold again. Might be worth doing for one of my other teams.

FYI I sold my SE Eddie Plank for 25K within 4 hours of posting it (should've put a 30K BIN on it instead) so the demand still seems reasonably high.

Drew two Chien-ming Wangs yesterday, one for myself, and entered the other one with some lowish bid (300? 500?) and no buy-now. I figured the market would sort that one out in time.

It's now at 6k PP with more than a day to go.

Got Ken Giles and a few low-level cards for under 10k to complete the Live Blue Jays mission (no, no actually hard missions completed over here…), but the diamond pack only gave me a Chris Sale with 37 movement. Blargh.

Does anyone know if there will be more missions released tomorrow and/or a diamond pack sale? I think someone mentioned that OOTP tends to release info on Twitter/Discord before here so I'm wondering if anyone is plugged in to that?

EDIT: I think I was able to answer my own question...

[TWITTER]Monday we will have another action packed episode of 'This Week in Perfect Team' on the air as we reveal another set of Community Requested cards and the next batch of Collection Missions!

The market seems to be speculating most on the Yankees and Cubs from what I gather. I've invested across all possible collection teams amongst my 3 accounts. One or two of my teams will strike it rich.. one or two will be broke. I think they'll save the Yankees for October. My totally wild guess is Cubs and Angels.

I think the Cubs would be a good guess. I submitted a bunch of Cubs card requests a couple of weeks ago with the specific purpose of giving them ideas for collection mission rewards. They did my J.R. Richard card request a little while back so I know they read those things. Of course, someone else could have also suggested him.

Seems like the market is expecting a Cubs collection soon--there has been a lot of demand for historical Cubs cards the past couple of weeks. Given the popularity and historical significance of the Cubs, there has been a noticeable lack of Cubs collection missions, so I imagine it'll happen soon.

In the past mission rollouts, they have mixed teams with lengthy histories with expansion teams with shorter histories that result in fewer missions. I believe it is worth noting that of the 14 expansion teams, 9 have already had missions introduced for them (8 if we're counting the post-Montreal Nationals who still lack representation).

I personally expect them to follow this pattern and introduce several more expansion teams to get closer to completing these. With 5 (or 5 and a half) remaining, I could easily see 3 being introduced later today. [Edit: The remaining expansion teams without missions are the Angels, Mets, Astros, Brewers, and Padres. Of note, both the Brewers and Mets have missions pertaining to a specific team (Collect Harvey's Wallbangers and Amazin' Mets) which could create a overlapping situation similar to the Red Sox's team missions and their Curse Breaker theme.] I also expect these missions to be released alongside a couple different teams with lengthy histories who have pretested and easily balance-able players who merit inclusion (like the reintroduction of the Top WAR Boudreau for completing the Indians mission, hypothetically speaking).

Or they could just do whatever... Luckily I don't have to wait long to be proven wrong!

Popped five missions right off the bat and then a 1978 Rollie Fingers from one of the packs.

FYI for anyone at work who can't log in from work, it's A's, Padres, Cubs, and Indians. Perfect Waddell, Boudreau, and Hoffman. Cubs have a 97 OA Ernie Banks and Jack Taylor as top rewards, plus obviously many other rewards cards and packs available.

Finally some collections are announced that do NOT include players I'm still trying to buy. It felt like whenever I was trying to grab a player for one of my teams you guys would come out with a collection that included that player, thereby driving his price up.
