How do I import team rosters into my fictional league?
Hey all, so I am trying to create a fictional Colorado League, and I want to import the 2018 Colorado Rockies roster into the league. I have created the Colorado Rockies and put them in the league, but their roster is empty. Going through and importing each player in individually would be rather tedious, so is there any way for me to just import the whole 2018 Rockies 40 man roster?

Look for the posts I made within these posts. You need a text file and baseball reference.com. You can't import the whole team since the 2018 stats are not in the database because the database is from March (before this season began).

You can't import 2018 stats because they aren't in the database. You'd have to use 2017 stats.
Assuming you are using Windows you create a new text file. Use a file name that is descriptive so you know what it's for. ex) 2017 rockies import.txt sample line for Trevor Story. storytr01, 2017, col playerID from baseballref, year, team to import to (if blank will import to free agents) The team to import to is the team's abbreviation from your league setup screen. The manual describes how to import using the text file. http://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com/...torical_wizard |
