When to Expand

I would like to add the Seattle Franchise at the end of 2019/20 season.

When is the best time to do this? July 1st?

I see the fix was in the patch so they could participate in the amateur draft also. Want to make sure i don't miss anything.

Thanks

Also is there a quick step guide or checklist of things to do when expanding?

Like create a new schedule would be an important step that might get overlooked.

You can only do it on July 1st.

And no, that patch note was for Historical, not current. With the way how players generate, it's currently not possible to do the draft in your first year.

Things to do:

(1) Add the Team - Pick your name.
(2) Generate a New Schedule
(3) Make sure colors are set as you want, possibly change logo/add jerseys depending on your preference.
(4) Sign FA's. In particular, look for Undrafted 20 or 21 year olds who you can sign to Entry Level deals, or any big names.
(5) Check your Staff. Add as necessary.
(6) The game should stop you for the Draft (but watch the bottom right of the homepage). Keep in mind currently you can select more than 1 player per team as it uses older draft rules right now.

Just be aware that the regenerate schedule doesn't work correctly. I expanded the Seattle team and ended up getting some divisional teams playing each other 8 or 9 times and only 3 games against other divisional opponents. A completely unbalanced schedule. I tried it multiple times with no success. I asked about it with an earlier post with no response. Thumbs down....

It's very hard for us to fix something we don't know about. Looking at your post history, you only posted about this 2 days ago. We will look into it.

Thanks Adam - hopefully it's an easy fix.

Will be waiting on this as I'm just about at the end of 19/20 season and would like to add Seattle for 20/21.

I'm just asking to make sure, can I expand the league by more than one team at once? My current custom league has an 18-team system and I'd like to finally add two more once I finish up my current season.
