I'd love a breakdown of the vote by years in the league; e.g. did the secure veteran players support or are they upset about being replaced by younger and cheaper guys?

It's odd how sports over the years has evolved from the 80s. I used to be a huge fan of the top four sports. I kept up with all of them.
Over time 3 of the 4 started going in the wrong direction IMO. The first to fall for me was the NBA in the early part of this century. Second was MLB. I've pretty much removed myself from both. I still like college basketball as it hasn't changed much. I think the changes in the NHL has improved the game. The NFL is slowly grating on me and getting worse and worse over the years. That will probably be the next to go. I fully understand the rules made for player safety, but I watch the game for my entertainment. Not for any other reason. You can't force entertainment, you're either entertained or you're not. |
