rating scale

I guess I'm a bit confused with the options on which rating scales to use. you have 1-20, 1-80 or 1-100. but wouldnt 1-100 be the obvious because its more precise or am i missing something?

Most here seem to favor the 20-80 scale, probably b/c it's the one used by MLB. I started with 1-20 and am just used to it, so probably will never change. It's more intuitive to me, and I'm too stubborn to change anyway.

Some people want it to be less precise for more of a challenge, also. I like to play with Current & Other Ratings at 1-5 and Potential Ratings Off.

It's all about personal choice. I myself use 1-10 most of the time. I like a good deal of fog of war but haven't completely built up to using the more standard 20-80 ratings yet. Or the even more challenging, no ratings at all, stats only approach.

But yes, 1-100 will give you a more detailed look at the differences between players. Keeping in mind, of course, that depending upon whether you are using scouting or not and what level of scouting accuracy you use (and how good your scout is) these are still not necessarily totally accurate.

There is nothing wrong with using 1-100 and having scouting accuracy set to the highest level if that is more comfortable for you as you are learning. (Or just forever. It's your game, play it your way.)
