Joltin Joe - isn't this crazy?
He must have had both eyes poked out. I'm playing a historical league with my buddy and we traded him and Paul Dean for a 22 year old Ted Williams in 1939. Dean's injury rating is "Wrecked" and he's hurt always and DiMaggio is aweful.
Ted is tearing it up though.

Wow. His Defense got considerably better when dropped from a 5-star to 4.5-star rating. His Eye looks decent...I would expect it to be a little better. His Power took a very odd drop after only 6 years in the big league -- and then it stayed at the same level for 4 more years? That seems weird. His Contact, however, is just...wow!! Did he happen to have an injury in 1940-1941 that required one of his arms to be removed? If he did, well, that's the explanation right there.

He had one major injury in the 1930s, but no. He didn't get hurt before his contact dropped off the face of the earth.

Always curious when I see a thread like this, is this a recalc league? If so, 1 year, 3 year or 5? Or is it strictly a OOTP Development engine league?

OOTP dev engine. I've been playing this historical league since 1901 and haven't seen a superstar drop off like this that I can recall. The Bambino didn't start tailing off until he was 41.
